LAMESA BAPTIST ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE BOARD March 9, 2017, meeting at Second Baptist Church Meal provided by Friendship Baptist Church
The meeting was called to order by moderator Dennis Adams. Opening prayer was led by Garland Stueart.
The Minutes were received as printed after a motion by Garland Stueart and a second by Margie Archer.
The Finance Report, given by Connie Sanders, was approved after a motion by Garland Stueart and second by Travis Debnam.
The Disaster Relief Report was given by Lyn Vogler. The trailer is in Arlington for a youth ministry.
The Evangelism Report was given by Bro. Charles Empey. Lamesa Community Youth Day is June 3rd. The gospel ministry will begin with breakfast at 10:00 am. Mike Tyler and Nathan Teeters will be speakers.
The River Ministry Report was given by Evie Dyck. Lamesa sent 645 Christmas shoe box gifts. Crossing Borders received 2700 boxes. Another Christmas trip to the river took treat bags, blankets and coats for children’s homes. River Ministry VBS this summer will be July 8-15.
The Circle Six Camp Report was given by Brian Colbath. There were 125 at the February Men’s Rally. The weather was cold but the offering was $4,000. April 24th is the next Adult Rally. Volunteers are working on the new cabin and the First Aid Station. The schedule for all weeks are filled for the summer and fall.
The Media Report was given by Travis Debnam. The web site received 110 hits viewing 308 pages. 84 hits were from the USA, 16 from Canada and only 3 from Lamesa.
Motion to receive all reports was made by Charles Empey and seconded by Corny Dyck, carried.
Closing prayer was led by Dennis Adams.
